Sweetgrass League

Built for real golf schedules.

Spring and Fall each include a regular season, playoffs and a champion. No fake schedule or standings will appear before official teams are confirmed.

Who can play

Men’s league now. Women’s league as interest grows.

The current Sweetgrass league is men’s only. A separate women’s league will launch if enough women express interest.

Official scheduling rules

Sweetgrass Dynamic Scheduling

Cross-Haus games prioritize competitive parity. Stronger teams face similarly strong teams, average teams face comparable teams, and developing teams face similarly rated opponents.

Every regular-season block14 days · Two full weekends

Team handicaps and preseason strength ratings guide the opening schedule. Confirmed Sweetgrass performance informs later strength assessments. Matchups should be as even as the available field allows.

01

Callouts + opponent requests

Teams may choose a rival through a Callout or request one or two opponents. Sweetgrass considers requests where the schedule allows, but they never guarantee a matchup or override competitive parity.

02

Similar-strength opponents

Cross-Haus pairings use the closest available team strengths across the block. Strong teams are not deliberately given weaker opponents to offset difficult earlier matches.

03

Block alignment

All In-Haus matches take place in designated In-Haus Blocks. All matches between different Hauses take place in designated Cross-Haus Blocks.

04

Fairness across Hauses

Apply the same strength-based matching standard to Apex, Players, Derby and Brix. Review the whole block so one Haus does not receive a systematic advantage from uneven opponents.

Fairness standard

Choose the most evenly matched Cross-Haus games the available field permits. Provide equal match opportunities for each Haus whenever mathematically possible; otherwise Haus performance is ranked by winning percentage.

Course rules

Official matches may be played at any regulation course with mutual agreement.
